Simplicity 8024 Christening Bonnet

My Grandson was Christened recently, and although he was slated to wear his Father’s Christening Gown, I was asked to make his bonnet, because he was so little. I used a very nice Kona cotton from Hobby Lobby, and good cotton thread. Although I usually will make comments, this post is just a photo expose on the steps. Enjoy!

VOILA!

I turned back the brim about an inch more away from his face, because it was still a bit big. I sewed this “long distance” since I didn’t have him with me to check the measurements. All went well and even though his Christening was the single most important thing, it was nice that the bonnet came out so well. Ah! Babies! I LOVE BABIES! 🙂

Happy sewing & crafting!
