Vintage Handmade Christmas Tree Skirt

I made this for my Mom back in the 80’s…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA…from a beautiful chick-a-dee cotton print she picked out, backed and ruffled in a solid green cotton fabric and sandwiched a thin layer of polyfill that I tacked by hand to create a somewhat tufted look. It’s very simple; yet it really looked pretty under the tree.VintageTreeSkirt2 This was featured on my old blog, ‘Adrienne’s Armoire’ in 2010. I’ve since retired that blog, but will post some of my old AA sewing pics here on Adrienne’s Threads, as well as my new projects from time to time. A /blessed and Holy Christmas.

Simple is good. I miss you, †Mom.
